This "Veil Only" service is designed for brides who want to professionally clean and store their veil independently of their dress - perfect for creating a lasting keepsake, preparing for a premium resale, or passing on a "something old" to a future generation.

By choosing specialist wedding veil cleaning, you protect your delicate lace and tulle from "invisible stains" and environmental damage.

Choose Your Service Package

We offer two levels of professional care depending on whether you require long-term preservation or a simple refresh for resale or travel.

Option 1: Clean & Box Keepsake Package 

Our premium preservation and restoration process is designed to defend against the passage of time.

  • Premium pH-Neutral Preservation: We provide a luxurious, handmade storage box lined with acid-free, pH-neutral tissue paper and delicate lace detailing.

  • Boutique Hand-Finishing: Every veil is professionally steamed, meticulously hand-pressed, and elegantly folded into the lace-lined box.

  • Signature Presentation: Your restored veil is finished with a "Love" satin ribbon, making it a beautiful keepsake ready for your collection.

Option 2: Clean Only

Designed for those prepping for preservation at a later date, getting ready to sell, or passing on a piece to a loved one.

  • Professional Cleaning: Specialist removal of dust and stains to return your lace and tulle to pristine condition.

  • Safe Preservation Packaging: Every veil is returned wrapped in pH-neutral, acid-free tissue paper to prevent fabric degradation.

  • Secure Travel Carton: Your item is carefully folded into a specialist carton, ensuring it remains safe for short-term storage or travel.

To ensure the correct package is ordered, please select your veil length from the options:

  • Short Veil (Up to 72 inches): Perfect for birdcage, shoulder, elbow, or fingertip-length styles.

  • Long Veil (Over 72 inches): Designed for floor-length, chapel, or cathedral-style veils.

The process explained
  • Once you place your order and receive your pack, let us know your garment is ready to collect
  • We’ll arrange your collection and let you know when your garment arrives
  • We’ll inspect your garment and highlight any advisories, including a quote for any major repairs
  • We’ll clean your dress, complete any minor repairs and press your dress
  • You’ll receive After Images of your dress on a mannequin to show you the finished product
  • We’ll arrange a date with you to ship your dress back and arrange your courier.
Is this the right package for me?
  • The Opal Package is suited to slimline wedding dresses with a minimal to medium train. 
  • The Crystal Package is suited to medium-fullness skirts – such as A-line dresses, dresses with larger trains or multiple layers of tulle. 
  • The Diamond Package is designed for ballgowns and very full skirts with multiple layers of tulle or an extra long train.

Our turnaround time can vary, but we endeavour to have all dresses completed within eight weeks of receiving your dress in-house. Priority orders are completed in ten working days from receiving your dress in-house to receiving a provisional dispatch date.

FAQ

What happens after I place my order? 

Once your order is placed, our team will dispatch a pack to you within two working days which includes an inner packing bag, an outer packing bag, shipping labels and instructions on how to package your garment for collection. Then, simply let our team know when you’re ready for your collection to take place.

How do I book my collection? 

To arrange your collection, simply email us at info@thedresscleaningcompany.co.uk stating your preferred collection day and we’ll take it from there.

NOTE: Our collections fall on Mondays and Tuesdays only – this allows us to receive your garment in-house by the end of the week.

Will I receive a collection timeslot? 

Collection timeslots are one hour long and normally occur between 9am and 5pm. This slot is determined by DPD and cannot be changed – we recommend booking your collection for a day yourself or a representative will be able to stay in at any time. You will also be able to track the driver as they make their way to you via the DPD collections portal.

What is your current turnaround time? 

Our timescale can vary based on our level of business, but our average standard turnaround time is eight weeks from receiving your garment in-house. Our turnaround time for Priority orders is ten working days from receiving your dress at our workshop to receiving a provisional dispatch date.

What happens when my dress is completed? 

Once your dress is completed, we’ll send your After Images with a proposed dispatch date. Once you confirm this is suitable – or let us know you require a different date - we can book you in with DPD. Just like your collection, you’ll be given an hour-long timeslot on the day of delivery.
